The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk football team returns home tonight to take on the Davis County Mustangs in a Class 2A District 5 contest. The Hawks are 1-3 on the season, 1-0 in district play after a 42-21 win at undefeated West Burlington Notre Dame a week ago. The Hawks scored the final 21 unanswered points to pull away for the win. Mid-Prairie won the total yards battle 306 to 300, including 213 to 61 through the air. Hudson Ehrenfelt led the Hawks with 120 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns. Brady Weber was 13 of 20 throwing for 213 yards and a pair of scores, one to Ace Peck who led with four grabs for 100 yards, the other to Kaden Kos. Kos led the Golden Hawk defense with 13 tackles, five for loss, a forced fumble and a pick. Keatyn Myers recovered the fumble. Mid-Prairie had 11 total tackles for loss. This season, the Golden Hawks score 22 per game and give up 20, averaging 267 yards per night, 200 through the air. Weber is the leader in the pass game at 56 of 90 for 802 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions. Ehrenfelt has 82 total touches, 474 all-purpose yards, and eight total touchdowns. Kos leads the defense with 44 total stops, 11 for loss with a sack. Kos, Ehrenfelt and Meyers each have a takeaway. The Golden Hawks rank in the top 10 of Class 2A in nine different team and individual categories.
