Huge Update On Saraya’s AEW Future

Recently, it was reported that Saraya, previously known as Paige in WWE, only had a few months remaining on her AEW contract, and while there was an option year, it hadn’t been activated at the time. Subsequently, this led to speculation that the British wrestler could be set to depart AEW, which would have disappointed many fans. However, it has now been confirmed by Fightful Select that a one-year extension has been agreed, meaning she will remain with the company until at least September 2025.

“Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has learned that former AEW World Champion Saraya has re-signed with AEW on a one year agreement … AEW had an option year on Saraya, but it was implied to Fightful that this could have been a separate agreement from the deal she was originally on. The current contract runs until September of 2025.”

32-year-old Saraya’s return to the ring since joining AEW has been nothing short of miraculous, with the former WWE star having previously retired in 2017 after suffering a severe neck injury. At the time, she required multiple metal screws inserted into her neck, and it was thought any type of bump could be disastrous for her health. Still, thanks to her healing powers and advances in medical knowledge, she has been given a second chance to do what she loves.
