A former employee Independence Health Westmoreland Hospital is accused of repeatedly locking an employee he supervised in a freezer.

Prosecutors say 25-year-old Nick Casper is facing harassment and false imprisonment charges.

The victim said it happened several times over a six-month period.

The victim added he would take her into the freezer, shut off the lights and padlock the door.

Investigators say Casper told a supervisor that he left the victim in the freezer for a couple of minutes.

Casper is charged with two misdemeanors.

This comes after four nurses were fired for misconduct.

The nurses were accused of deliberately antagonizing several patients and taking pictures and videos of the nude victims without their consent.

A statement from Independence Health System expressed shock and outrage over the actions of the nurses who were terminated without delay.
