It is not uncommon for adoptive parents to harm their adopted children - which is why some foreign countries halted foreign adoption to US parents. Many Russian, and Eastern bloc children were brutalized at the hands of their adoptive parents. How bad could her birth mother have really been, for her child to be snatched away and given to these people? Missouri has a high percentage of birth mothers losing custody - why is that? How many of these stolen children, ended up abused or killed by their adoptive parent/parents? Helping birth parents overcome personal challenges, should always be a first step.
