Inductees will also be presented to the public at halftime of the boys varsity basketball game vs. Wayne following the ceremony!Hall of Fame Information/MHS Record Book:http://miamisburgathletics.com/hq/athletic-hall-of-fame-records/Jeff Alcorn – Class of 1985 – Football, Basketball, TrackJeff earned nine varsity letters as a three sport athlete for Miamisburg High School. He was a two way starter in football for three years and a two time ALL MML selection. Alcorn started every varsity basketball game from his sophomore to senior year. Jeff is currently the 16th All-Time leading scorer in basketball for Miamisburg High School (6th All-Time in 1985). He was also captain of the team as a senior. In track &amp; Field, Jeff high jumped 6’4” as a junior in the conference meet earning him ALL MML 2nd team honors. Alcorn was voted the top male athlete in his class.Alcorn went on to play basketball at Marietta College where he started every game freshman-junior year. He was also a captain of the team during his junior season. Jeff was named to the All OAC Freshman team and was second team all OAC as a sophomore and junior before his career was cut short with back surgery. Jeff currently lives in Cartersville, GA with his wife Lisa. He has one daughter named Amberly. Alcorn has been the VP of Sales for Valicor Environmental Services for the last nine years. Connor Brown – Class of 2014 – Football, BasketballConnor Brown was a three-year starter in basketball and finished his career as one of the top players in the school’s history. &nbsp; In Basketball, he ranks 4th All-Time in career scoring with 1,064 points making him one of only six players in the school’s history to eclipse 1,000 points.&nbsp; His 413 field goals is 3rd all-time and he is 6th All-time in Free Throws made.&nbsp; Connor was also a defensive menace blocking 47 shots his senior season and ranks top 5 all-time in blocks at Miamisburg.&nbsp; Connor’s best offensive game was also his most memorable.&nbsp; In his final game at home he came off the bench while allowing Zach Collins to start on Senior Night.&nbsp; Connor scored 39 points on 15 of 22 shooting.&nbsp; During the fourth quarter Connor rebounded his missed free throw and dunked the ball shattering the backboard.&nbsp; The Vikings finished the game in the Auxiliary gym clinching their first league championship in over a decade. Connor was named GWOC South All Conference 2012-13 and 2013-14 and ALL GWOC 2013-14.&nbsp; He was named All SW OHIO 2nd Team and Honorable Mention All State his senior season.&nbsp; Connor served as team captain his senior year and was named co-MVP along with Jeremy Randolph.&nbsp; The Vikings finished 18 – 7 and won the GWOC South Championship.&nbsp;&nbsp;As a football player Connor served as captain for the Vikings. He was also named 2nd Team All GWOC his senior year. He received a scholarship to play football at Ohio University and was their starting tight end his senior season. Connor returned to Miamisburg and has served as the freshman basketball coach for the past three seasons. He lives in Miamisburg with his wife Alex. He is a territory sales manager for Valicor Environmental Services.Peggy and Amo Critzer – Contributors A tragedy that struck a Miamisburg family 50 years ago is today the oldest continuing student-athlete scholarship program at Miamisburg High School. Peggy (Becker) Critzer (MHS Class of 1947) and her late husband, Dennis (better known as Amo), raised three sons – John, Denny, and Tom – who suited up for the Vikings in football and baseball teams in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The middle son, Denny, who carried the nickname of “Hud,” went on to continue his student-athlete career at Defiance College in northwest Ohio. He played football but also lettered in baseball and soccer for the Yellow Jackets and was also recognized academically on the school’s Dean’s List. In order to pay for college Denny took a summer job in 1973 at a manufacturing operation in nearby Paulding. Initially working days, he opted to switch to the night shift for higher pay. After finishing his first night on the job, he headed home and apparently fell asleep and died from injuries suffered in a head-on collision with another vehicle in August of 1973. As the family went through the funeral process, they found that $3,300 was donated to the family amongst the cards of sympathy. With that money, Peggy and Amo started the Dennis “Hud” Critzer Memorial Scholarship Fund that would be presented to student-athletes at Miamisburg, presenting the first two scholarships in the spring of 1974 that continue through today. The family wanted to give back to other student-athletes in Denny’s memory; they continued to support the scholarships from their own personal finances. In order to raise additional funds for the future, The Amo Open golf outing started in 1980 with 30 families and friends participating. In a few years, the participant numbers reached 256 players for the annual Labor Day weekend before the last tournament was held in 1994. Based on the funds raised in the golf tournament over the years and continuing memorial donations, the Dennis “Hud” Critzer Memorial Fund continues to operate off the interest earned by the fund. The Fund also has contributed to other MHS athletic support and community events over the years. Through various donations and the Amo Open Golf Tournament, the family has presented over 160 student-athletes with scholarship money totaling over $104,000. Nominations for the scholarship recognition comes from the coaching staff and the Critzer family. At least two individuals are selected but due to ties, there have been years where three selections were made and as many as five have been selected. The Critzer family has the option to overrule the selections, but in the 50 years of the presentations the Critzer family have approved every selection brought forth by the coaching staff. The selection follows the example of Denny Critzer as a student-athlete. Dennis was not a 5-star athlete but worked hard to become a starting tailback at 140 pounds for coach Kevin Reardon’s 1970 team. He was known as a good student, an athlete who worked diligently to better himself, support his teammates, and was modest in his accomplishments. In 1970, a local Miamisburg business started sponsoring player of the week honors for Miamisburg football with a plaque presented for each game. One of the first selections was Denny who earned back of the week honors. Coach Reardon noted that Denny may have not gained 100 yards rushing but conducted his route and blocking assignments at 100 percent level week after week. Reardon commented to me that he could have named Denny as back of the week numerous times but felt that Denny’s commitment to the team was to share the recognition. As noted in the attached article written by Dayton Daily News sports writer Tom Archdeacon in 1989, explaining Peggy and Amo’s efforts even more. Denny had written to Amo a letter while in his first semester at Defiance, with one passage that was important to the family to this day: “I feel lucky to have such good brothers like Tom and John. I feel even luckier that you and Mom were able to give us some of the better things in life. I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate everything you have done for me. Only that I want you both to be proud of me. It means so much to me.” The final paragraph in Archdeacon’s article summed things up: “Now – in that same spirit – Peggy and Amo Critzer are helping other children with some of the better things in life.” Jeremy Randolph – Class of 2014 – Basketball, BaseballJeremy Randolph was the gritty leader of the Vikings boys basketball 2012- 13 league championship team. An unparalleled leader, Jeremy solidified himself as one of the best point guards in school history. He set single-season records for assists and steals during his tenure. He stands as the all-time assist and steals leader. Jeremy shot 43.5% from three as a senior and none was bigger than the shot he drilled in the first round of the playoffs against Fairmont. With the Vikings trailing by 2 with very little time left Jeremy rose up and drained a long three-pointer to give the Vikings the win. He led the Vikings to an 18 – 7 record and league championship his senior season. He was named Co-MVP with Connor Brown, All GWOC South, and All-Southwest Ohio Honorable Mention. Randolph was voted the top male athlete in his class.In baseball, Jeremy excelled both on the mound and at the plate as a baseball player. He finished his career ranked 8th in career doubles. As a pitcher, Jeremy ranked 6th all-time in strikeouts and 10th in games pitched. His most memorable outing was a 4 – 1 victory over Springboro in which he gave up just one hit striking out nine Panthers. Jeremy was named an All-GWOC Pitcher in 2014, All GWOC South 3rd Base in 2013, and ALL GWOC South Pitcher in 2014. He was also named MVBCA All Area 2nd Team All Ohio Infield in 2013 and MVBCA All Area Pitcher in 2014.Jeremy earned a scholarship to play baseball at Wright State University and finished his career playing for the University of Alabama. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 26th round of the 2019 MLB Draft. Jeremy now resides in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife Anna. He works for the University of Louisville athletic department as a Director of Operations for the softball program. Molly Skapik – Class of 2014 – Golf, BasketballMolly was a 4 time 1st team ALL GWOC and a 4 time state tournament individual qualifier in girls golf. She was a 2 time GWOC Champion (Player of the Year) during her junior and senior seasons and a GWOC pre and post season tournament champion 7 out of 8 times. Her top finishes at the state championships were 9th during her junior season and 4th during her senior year. Molly was the district champion in 2012 and district runner up in 2013. She holds school records for lowest season average at 36 in 2013, lowest career average at 38.5, lowest 18 hole score at 69, and lowest nine hole score at 33. Molly was also a member of the basketball team where she had 9 steals in one game and was voted top female athlete in her class.Molly continued her golf career on scholarship at the University of Louisville where she tied for 38th at the NCAA Championships her senior year and was a 3 time WGCA All American Scholar. As a senior at Louisville, she produced a career best 16 rounds of even or below par, third most in a single season in program history. Her best finish in college was 3rd at the Tar Heel Invitational.After college, Skapik went on to play professionally including the 2018 LPGA Marathon Classic, 2018 Kentucky Women’s Open Champion (first round career best 64), and 2024 Ohio Women’s Open Runner Up. Molly is a 3 time USGA Championship Participant. She currently plays on multiple women’s professional golf tours (Epson and Annika Womens All Pro Tour). Skapik resides in Miamisburg </div></body>
