When buying through third-party sellers, verify the seller's legitimacy by checking BBB.org or the National Association of Ticket Brokers. Remember, if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is," said Carl Bates, President of the BBB of Central and South Alabama.The BBB advises people to:<ul><li>Buy from official sources: Stick to the team or venue’s official website or reputable third-party</li><li>Know the refund policy: Ensure you understand the terms of the transaction before purchasing from a reseller.</li><li>Verify tickets before the game: Visit the venue’s box office to confirm ticket authenticity.</li><li>Avoid buying tickets from social media platforms or sellers requesting payment through cash apps like Venmo or CashApp. Scammers often disappear after receiving payment, leaving buyers without a ticket.</li><li>Be wary of online ads offering cheap tickets, as they may be scams, especially for high-demand games.</li><li>Fans who believe they’ve purchased counterfeit tickets should report the issue to the BBB at BBB.org/scamtracker and to their local police department immediately.</li></ul>If fans have already purchased UGA-Alabama tickets and are unsure about their validity, tickets can be verified at the University Ticket Office during business hours or at Gates 4 and 44 on game day.</div></body>
