(EYT) — State Police released the details on two Strattanville residents who suffered serious injuries after their vehicle crashed into a residence along State Route 28 on Friday, August 23.According to a reported released on Thursday, September 26, by Pennsylvania State Police in DuBois, 84-year-old Jeremy D. Barrett was driving a 2009 Buick Enclave westbound on Allens Mills Road, in Warsaw Township, Jefferson County.Police say Barrett reportedly applied the brakes prior to the intersection with State Route 28; however, for unknown reasons, the vehicle accelerated at a high rate of speed, crossed into the eastbound lane, and continued southbound on State Route 28.The vehicle veered off the roadway into a grassy yard, striking a parked vehicle and an unregistered utility trailer before crashing into the foundation of a residence at 6101 State Route 28.Both Barrett and his passenger, 84-year-old Ida L. Barrett, suffered suspected serious injuries and were transported by EMS to medical facilities. Jeremy Barrett was cited for failing to stop at the intersection.Emergency crews from Brockway Area Ambulance Service and Washington and Jefferson EMS, along with McPherson Towing, responded to the scene. </div></body>
