Reva Trammell Addresses the City Real Estate Tax

Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Reva Trammell, Councilwoman for the 8th District, talks with John about her proposed real estate tax reduction and the resistance she's facing.

"I've tried year after year, my colleagues vote against me every time, I've said, 'Listen, I'm not going to give up," Trammell says.

it's crazy how the real estate tax works. One house can be totally renovated, sells for 4 times what your house is worth and the city uses that for your tax assessment.
