Georgetown Middle School PTO invites community participation in dodgeball fundraiser

GEORGETOWN – Dodging the knockout efforts of opponents is the name of the game in a fun fundraiser supporting the Georgetown Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization.

The school’s PTO is hosting a dodgeball competition between the school and local community partners at the middle school on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

The competition will start at 6 p.m.

The PTO will use proceeds raised for special events held throughout the year, such as field day activities, family night events and field trips.

There are several ways to offer support.

One is to form a team with staff, family and friends. A team should have no more than 10 players. The cost is $5 per team member.

Games will be five-to-eight-minute rounds. Teams will be bracketed, and winning teams will advance until there is one team remaining.

Another way is to sponsor the GMS teams for $50. There will be different teams comprised of students and staff.

Individuals and teams participating will receive mention on the school’s social media pages.
