Rehoboth Beach accepting applications for mixed use task force

REHOBOTH BEACH — One of the priorities identified in the 2020 Comprehensive Development Plan by the City of Rehoboth Beach is developing a mixed-use zoning classification, and toward that end, it announced an open application period for a mixed-use zoning ordinance task force until Oct. 11.

The task force is expected to begin its work this fall and meet six times over the next year, and all task force meetings will be open to the public, according to the city.

The Board of Commissioners approve representatives to serve on the work group comprised of:

• two Rehoboth Beach commissioners
• two Rehoboth Beach planning commissioners
• two representatives from the builder/development community
• one representative from Rehoboth Beach Main Street
• two City of Rehoboth Beach business owners
• four property-owning citizens in the City of Rehoboth Beach
