Chappell Roan Suddenly Withdraws from All Things Go Fest for Health Reasons

New England-based fans of Chappell Roan are in for a disappointing surprise. Roan just announced that she is withdrawing from All Things Go Festival this year. The iconic New York and Washington, D.C. music festival was going to feature several performances from Roan starting on September 28.

In an Instagram story post from Roan’s official account, the “Good Luck Babe!” hitmaker said that the last few weeks have been “overwhelming” and that she is “unable to perform” at the festival.

“I apologize to people who have been waiting to see me in NYC & DC this weekend at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform,” the now-expired Instagram story noted. “Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it. I feel pressured to prioritize a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritize my health.”

Roan did not go into more detail about the cancellations. The reps behind All Things Go Fest reposted Chappell Roan’s announcement and noted that they supported her decision.

Roan also said that she wanted to be “present” when she performed in order to put on the best show possible. She thanked her fans for their understanding.

Why Did Chappell Roan Pull Out Of All Things Go Fest?

It’s not abundantly clear why Roan decided to cancel her All Things Go Festival dates this month. However, this isn’t the first time Roan has canceled last-minute. Several tour dates from earlier this year were canceled so that Roan could rehearse for and perform at the VMAs. This left a bad taste in a lot of fans’ mouths.

Now, though, fans are starting to worry about Roan’s mental health. The relatively new superstar has been active on social media since her breakthrough. There, she has shared her experiences with stalking after her extremely fast rise to fame. She was also recently criticized for refusing to endorse Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election after Taylor Swift publicly voiced her endorsement. Roan noted that she is voting for the candidate, but she believes a lot of work still needs to be done to make her country a better place.

With this context, some fans are worried. Some think that the sudden rise to fame and online bullying Roan has experienced could be hurting her significantly. Whatever the reason is, we hope Roan is doing well and will be back on the road soon. No replacements for Roan’s set have been announced as of this posting.
