Police are searching for a man they believe may be tied to an AMBER Alert issued early Friday morning.According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the man pictured below was caught on surveillance cameras as he ran away from a minor crash after police pursued the vehicle he was in with the kidnapped teen.An AMBER Alert was sent around 5 a.m. Friday following in incident Thursday night.Officers were called to the 1300 block of Longfellow Street NW for a reported fight around 10:24 p.m. Officers saw a black SUV and a gray sedan in the middle of the street with open doors and at least three suspects.When officers went up to the drivers, both fled in their cars. The SUV struck several cars as it left, including a marked police cruiser.Police learned during the investigation that a teenage girl was forced in one of the fleeing cars and issued an AMBER Alert around 5 a.m.Around 1:10 p.m. MPD detectives and federal law enforcement partners investigating the case saw the teen and a masked male subject leave a home in the 700 block of 31st Street SE.They got into a car before fleeing. Police pursued the vehicle and shortly after the vehicle was involved in a crash in the 4200 block of Southern Avenue SE.The male driver ran from the scene.Officers spoke to the teen and learned she was teen in the AMBER Alert.The teen was uninjured but was taken to an area hospital as a precaution.Police continue to investigate the incident."The Metropolitan Police Department would like to thank the United States Marshal’s Service and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for their continued partnership and assistance,"</div></body>
