The New Orleans Saints had a concerning injury occur during their final practice of the week. The Saints are preparing to play the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

The Saints could be without their top target against their NFC South rival. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, wide receiver Chris Olave sustained a hamstring injury during practice on Friday.

"Saints WR Chris Olave is considered, in the words of a source, 'day to day' with the hamstring injury he suffered in today’s practice," Schefter posted on X.

According to the Saints' injury report released Friday afternoon, Olave is questionable to play on Sunday.

Olave is the Saints' leading receiver through the first three weeks of the season. The Ohio State standout has 12 receptions for 178 yards and one touchdown.

If Olave misses Sunday, quarterback Derek Carr will have to look to his other top targets, wide receiver Rashid Shaheed and running back Alvin Kamara, to pick up the slack. Both players are the only other two Saints pass catchers to have over 100 yards receiving entering Week 4.

Sunday's matchup against the Falcons is an important early-season battle in the NFC South. The Saints are tied with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 2-1 atop the division. The Falcons and Carolina Panthers are 1-2.

It appears that with all of these injuries that we are seeing, they should bring the full compliment of preseason games back to help get these guys into football shape. I've seen injuries, horrible tackling and just a really bad product on the field every week.
