The Woman’s Club of Windsor placed a commemorative sign in town accompanied by American flags to honor and remember the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks against the U.S. In a news release, club officials described the attacks as being “on our country that we love,” and the officials added that country music star Toby Keith, who passed away in February, always ended his country music concerts by saying “Never apologize for being patriotic.” Club members pictured with the sign and flags are, from left, Nancy Foster, Susan Anderson, Sandra Edwards, Mary Lee Willis, Debra Tominack, Betty Horton, Bonnie Johnson and Helen Hill.
