The Patriots tallied 271 points to finish tenth in the men's 8K race.Luca Madeo was the top runner for Cumberlands, placing 12th with a time of 24:26.7, the fifth best time in school history. Madeo topped his time from the Southern Showcase by nearly 25 seconds.Ludovico Vaccari was the second Patriot to cross the finish line at 55th overall, finishing with a time of 25:16.2. After a controlled start to the race, Vaccari made a big push to climb the individual standings as he was in 68th place halfway through the race. Jon Eades finished next for UC with a time of 25:31.1, placing 77th. Caleb Rigney and Hauke Trost were the next group of Patriots to finish with times of 25:52.4 and 26:03.5 to round out the top five. Ryan Ehrler paced a 26:04.7 for a 129th finish and Nate Powers placed 195th with a 26:39.7 time. Andrew Barker and Max Young completed the race with times of 26:54.0 and 26:56.1. Dillan Melchiore and Maddox Knight also crossed the finish line with times of 26:58.1 and 27:16.3, respectively. Iowa Western CC captured first place with 38 points while Oklahoma City finished second with 117 and Washburn University placed third with 123.
