San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk made a scene at Friday's practice after an exchange with his head coach, Kyle Shanahan.

It's been an eventful start to the 2024 NFL season, especially for the 49ers. After losing the 2024 Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs, 25-22, the team aims to return to the big game this season and finish the job.

Unfortunately for San Francisco, the team is off to a 1-2 start, with multiple injuries to star players Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Trent Williams and more.

Samuel, Kittle and Williams are all listed as questionable to play Sunday against the New England Patriots.

One player who has been healthy through the first three games and is expected to play a big role in Week 4 is Aiyuk. However, he sparked up a little scene with his head coach at practice on Friday.

Aiyuk came out on the field wearing red shorts, while his teammates were all wearing black lowers.

Shanahan walked over to Aiyuk, and while it was unclear exactly what he was saying, viewers could see Shanahan repeatedly raising his palms.

At the end of the 90-second video, Aiyuk does a twirl and kicks his leg into the air (as if to kick his shorts far away from him) before finally changing his shorts to black.

After holding out through all of training camp in hopes of securing a new deal, Aiyuk signed a four-year, $120 million extension with the 49ers just over a week before their season opener. The deal made him the NFL's sixth-highest-paid wide receiver at the time of signing.

Aiyuk is in his fifth NFL season and, over that time, has accumulated 4,050 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns.

Sunday's home against the Patriots is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET on Fox.

what does he care now..he got paid, got his guarantee. Now he's rusty, out of shape, but still with the same attitude but not the conditioning or route running or hands. Hmmm...Amazing. Trent back home eating more donuts.. got his money. Next week I'm gonna go in to work and demand a big raise and at least 6 yrs salary up front and tell them I'll decide when and how to come to work after that, because I'm worth it. Money doesn't create character.. imagine that. Aiyuk has always been a chip looking for a shoulder. No surprise he's not working twice as hard to make up for lost time... he's regressed to underachieving early Aiyuk. He'll get injured soon also, just watch.
