I want to see this, but there's definitely a reason for the delay in releasing this and skipping the theater that they are tippy toeing around, and it's giving off woke vibes big time. The benefit of remakes is twofold, better effects and hindsight of what was well done and well received and what was poorly done and received, so just enhance the good stuff and delete the bad stuff. I'm afraid race and gender swapping roles are uncalled for and add an unnecessary distraction and variable to the equation when trying to determine if a remake will be worth making.
