The Dallas Cowboys may have won their “Thursday Night Football” matchup against the New York Giants, but it came with a hefty price.

Two of the team’s top defensive stars — edge-rusher Micah Parsons and defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence — suffered injuries that may keep them out for significant periods of time.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport gave an update on Lawrence on Friday, stating he could miss four or more games after suffering a foot injury in Thursday’s 20-15 win.

“#Cowboys Pro Bowl DE DeMarcus Lawrence is out at least four weeks with a mid-foot sprain, sources say, making him a prime candidate to land on Injured Reserve,” Rapoport said. “At that point he’ll be reevaluated. Coach Mike McCarthy said his injury is worse than that of Micah Parsons.”

Parsons suffered a high ankle sprain on Thursday, but his long-term status hasn’t been determined yet. Many expect him to miss at least one game, if not multiple games.

Lawrence leads the Cowboys in sacks (three) while adding nine hurries, four pressures and two QB hits, per Pro Football Focus. Parsons leads the team in pressures (21), hurries (15) and QB hits (five), and he has the second-best pass-rush win rate (20.7).

Dallas already has five players on injured reserve — defensive end Sam Williams, defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, guard Chuma Edoga and offensive tackles Earl Bostick Jr. and Nathan Thomas.
