Walmart Is Selling a 'Beautiful,' Best-Selling Faux Leather Blazer So Similar to Designer Styles up to Nearly 8x the Price

Blazers are a great way to dress up an outfit or make something more professional-looking without doing much work. And fall is a great time to bring those blazers back out because it’s a tad cooler out. Walmart’s best-selling faux leather blazer is a perfect example of how a stylish blazer can upgrade an outfit, big time. Plus it looks a lot like designer styles like Alice + Olivia, Good American and J. Crew which are up to almost eight times the original price of Walmart’s blazer.
Walmart’s Sofia Jeans Faux Leather Single Breasted Blazer comes from Sofia Vergara’s exclusive brand with the retailer and is currently on sale for $30.99 (it was originally $42). It’s a sleek blazer with one button in the front (hence the “single-breasted blazer” description), a chest pocket and two welt pockets in the front (near the hip). It’s a “classic fit” blazer meaning it’s not meant to be oversized but it’s also not cropped or too fitted.
This blazer is faux leather with 100% polyester with a polyurethane coating to give it that leather sheen. It has a collar and seams on the chest to accentuate curves. It comes in both standard sizes, plus sizes and two colors: Black Soot and Cocoa Mocha.
Deemed a best-seller by Walmart itself, it’s easy to see that people do really like this blazer; it has 71 ratings and reviews and 4.4 stars.
“This Faux Leather Blazer is super soft and not bulky at all,” one shopper wrote. “Looks expensive yet very affordable and in my case, true to size. Liked it so much, I purchased it in black while shopping at my local store. Hopefully, it will come in more colors… over time as I'd purchase more.”
Another person said that it was a “beautiful stylish leather-like blazer” that is unbelievably “luxuriously soft,” in both look and feel.
“It looks like high-quality genuine leather, and the cut is very flattering,” they also wrote. “Highly recommend!! This year, [Walmart] has really been rocking highly stylish, high-quality clothes for unbelievable prices!!!”
And yet another reviewer wrote that it’s a “great, must-buy jacket for fall.”
“Love, love this jacket. Looks expensive. Well made,” they wrote. “Super cute and trendy for fall. Easy to dress up or go casual. This will be a fall staple and worn quite a bit. Order before they sell out!! Fits true to size to a bit small. I think typical fit for this line.”
As we mentioned before, this Walmart blazer by the Sofia Jeans brand looks a lot like designer brand styles like the Alice + Olivia Macey Faux Leather Jacket , which is currently $330 at Saks Fifth Avenue. It was originally $440 and has nearly the same design as Walmart’s. It is a sleek faux leather blazer with one button and a collar. It has just two welt pockets, no chest pocket, though, and zippers on the cuffs to open them up if desired. It’s also made with 100% polyurethane with a 100% polyester backing and lining. It also comes in an almond color that isn’t too far off from Walmart’s Cocoa Mocha.
Another high-end brand with a similar blazer is Good American and their Sculpted Faux Leather Blazer . It’s currently $149.25 (was originally $199) at Nordstrom is nearly the same as the Alice + Olivia and Walmart blazers. Like the former, it has two welt pockets (and no chest pocket). It also has one button and a collar. It comes in darker colors, though, like black and bark (a dark brown). Exactly like the Sofia Jean blazer, it’s also made with 100% polyester with a polyurethane coating.
And lastly, J. Crew’s Vivienne blazer in faux leather is another blazer that’s similar to Walmart’s. It’s currently $169.50 (it was originally $278) and comes in the colors Brown Sugar and black. This one is the most different due to the pronounced seams near the pockets and on the front. But other than that it’s pretty close; it has a singular button and the same three pockets as Walmart’s. However, even though it is faux leather, it’s made with 100% LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose, not polyester and polyurethane.
