Individuals who have experienced the atmosphere of an Alabama Crimson Tide football game can concur that the energy at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa reaches unparalleled heights on game days. Crimson and white lights are shining all night and great music is played along with top-notch football right in your face to enjoy.

This weekend, Tide fans who are also Donald Trump supporters have a special reason to be excited for this weekend’s game against the Georgia Bulldogs in Tuscaloosa.

Trump is scheduled to attend the Alabama vs. Georgia game on Saturday, September 27, 2024, at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. The highly anticipated SEC showdown will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT, and the former president's presence is expected to draw significant attention both on and off the field.

Pregame Events and Game Day Information

Earlier today, Greg Byrne, the University of Alabama’s Director of Athletics, sent out a detailed email to fans with tips and important information for game day, including guidance for those planning to tailgate on campus or attend the game. With a full slate of activities, fans are encouraged to arrive early and take advantage of all that the Capstone has to offer on Saturday.

    Here’s what you can expect:

    • ESPN College GameDay will air live from the Quad from 8-11 a.m. CT.
    • At 11:30 a.m., Vector Security Champions Lane will open on the northwest side of Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium, featuring attractions like the Legends Lounge, the Heisman House, performances by David Lewis and Lauren Alaina, autograph opportunities, food trucks, and more.

    Enhanced Security Measures

Due to heightened security measures, fans are urged to arrive at the stadium no later than 5 p.m. CT. Gates will open at 4 p.m., and attendees are advised to familiarize themselves with the updated stadium map, which highlights specific checkpoints for seating areas.

In light of security concerns, including the presence of Donald Trump, fans should be prepared to pass through metal detectors and remove all items from their pockets, including any large jewelry or buttons, similar to airport procedures. While shoes and belts may remain on, any metal will trigger the detectors, prompting additional screening with a wand.

Non-essential items are best left at home or in your vehicle to avoid delays at security checkpoints.

    Tailgating and Parking

Tailgating will begin early, and fans should plan to arrive well before the 6:30 p.m. kickoff to secure a good spot on campus. With Trump’s attendance and the increased security presence, traffic around the stadium is expected to be heavy, so fans should allow extra time to reach the stadium.

For more details on the game day schedule and tailgating policies, fans are encouraged to check the University of Alabama's website.
