Karl-Anthony Towns' Immediate Reaction After Major Trade Announcement

    By Spencer Ostrow,

Karl-Anthony Towns shared his immediate reaction to being traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the New York Knicks.

Late Friday night, Shams Charania reported that the Timberwolves were sending Towns to the Knicks in exchange for Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo and a first-round pick via the Detroit Pistons.

Just a few minutes before Charania broke the news on X, Towns made a subtle post.

    "...," he wrote.

It's unclear how Towns feels about the trade based on his post, but after nine seasons in Minnesota, he is moving on from the team that drafted him first overall in 2015.

Towns has a career average of 21.8 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3 assists per game.

In the 2023-24 NBA playoffs, the Timberwolves reached the Western Conference Finals, while the Knicks made it to the Conference Semifinals.

Both teams are hopeful this move will help them take a step closer to competing for an NBA title in the upcoming 2024-25 season.
