Chicago Bulls Could Receive Los Angeles Clippers Trio in Zach LaVine Trade

It is no secret that the Chicago Bulls have tried to find a new home for Zach LaVine. That has not proven to be an easy task though owing to his massive contract and injury record.

LaVine is set to earn $138 million over the next three seasons and played just 25 games in the 23-24 campaign.

Even with LaVine, it is unlikely that the Bulls will compete for a playoff spot next season, having said goodbye to DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso.

The Bulls are rebuilding for the future and LaVine staying would mean fewer minutes for players like Coby White, Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis.

The Bulls are stuck in NBA no man's land right now and need to get LaVine's contract off their books. That might be an opportunity for teams around the league to consider.

Ishaan Bhattacharya has suggested a trade in an article on FadeAway World that would see the Los Angeles Clippers receive LaVine and Torrey Craig while the Bulls would get Norman Powell, Terance Mann and P.J. Tucker.

Of course, any team trading for LaVine would be taking a risk but one cannot overlook the fact that on top of his game, he is an All-Star and one of the most dynamic scorers in the entire league.

As for the Bulls, this trade would land them three rotational players and would be better for their future in the grand scheme of things.

As Bhattacharya wrote in his article: "The Clippers add a scorer to replace the production George took with him while the Bulls add flexible contracts instead of paying an unhappy LaVine for three more seasons."

If the Bulls are to truly kick off their rebuild and give it the best chance of succeeding, it might be necessary for them to move on from the LaVine era.
