Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark was named the WNBA Rookie of the Year on Friday. Putting up unprecedented statistical averages of 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists, Clark led Indiana to their first playoff appearance since 2016.

Leading the WNBA in assists, Clark also broke the Fever's single-season scoring record. Not alone in breaking this record, Clark finished with just two more points than her backcourt partner Kelsey Mitchell, who now sits behind her All-Star teammate for second on this exclusive list.

Clark finished her rookie season with 769 points, while Mitchell finished right behind her with 767 points.

Following the WNBA's announcement that Clark had won Rookie of the Year, Mitchell sent a message to her teammate on Instagram.

"@caitlinclark22 never a doubt," Mitchell wrote.

Clark responded to this with a heart emoji on her Instagram story.

Mitchell was one of Indiana's three All-Stars, joining Clark and Aliyah Boston. Averaging 19.2 points on 46.8 percent from the field and 40.2 percent from three, Mitchell was a huge piece to Indiana's success this season.

Clark and Mitchell formed a dynamic backcourt duo that helped lead them to the playoffs. Via StatMamba on X, the duo was the first in WNBA history to each make 100 three-pointers in the same season.

Always supportive of Clark, Mitchell made sure to send her a message after the league's Rookie of the Year announcement. This was an expected outcome for Clark, but still a reason for celebration.

Responding to Mitchell, Clark showed her appreciation for the veteran guard.
