Firefighters Extinguish Early Morning Semi-Truck Fire in the Cajon Pass

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A semi-truck burst into flames on southbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass. (Photo above is credit by Josa Eduardo Tirado Barva.)

California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Fire Department, and San Bernardino National Forest firefighters were on scene of a semi off of the right shoulder of the freeway on fire. The semi was located on southbound Interstate 15 just after Cleghorn Road exits about 3:30am on September 27, 2024.

The cab of a semi was fully engulfed in flames, the trailer was intact with no fire damage.

Flames did quickly spread to nearby brush before quickly extinguished.

Everybody did escape the semi before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene.

The freeway was left severely congested for the morning commute.
