Once again, college football fans got a treat on Friday night. This time, it was an ACC showdown between Virginia Tech and Miami (FL) at Hard Rock Stadium in Florida.

It was a back-and-forth game, which included Virginia Tech leading 24-17 at halftime before Miami scored 21 second-half points, including two touchdowns in the final nine minutes of play.

Cam Ward connected on a go-ahead touchdown to Isaiah Horton with two minutes left to give Miami a 38-34 lead.

Then, on the final play, one of the wildest finishes we have ever seen ensued. Kyron Drones heaved a hail mary that appeared to be caught by Da'Quan Felton.

However, it was reviewed and eventually ruled incomplete, giving Miami the victory.

On the other hand, Kirk Herbstreit was one of many left stunned by the result.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????," Herbstreit wrote on X. "Did 9 in white have possession?? @HokiesFB If so wildest finish I’ve seen in a long time!!!!"

Herbstreit is one of many to react to the wild finish, including Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes. At first glance, it seemed that Virginia Tech was going to walk it off with a miracle touchdown.

As Herbstreit said, if Felton caught it, it would've been one of the wildest finishes in a long time and would've given the Hokies a huge top-25 upset win on the road.

Many angles have surfaced, including one slow-mo video that sure did not help ease Virginia Tech fan's feelings.

It was a big turn of events for the Hurricanes, who now remain undefeated and were saved from a huge upset at home.

On the other hand, the ACC is surely going to be questioned about the decision. Virginia Tech falls to 2-3 coming to their next matchup against Stanford, while Miami moves to 5-0 with a game coming up against Cal.

I’m a devout Miami fan. Love The U. In VT’s last drive I couldn’t help but feel the dread of Doug Flutie’84 and ‘03 Ohio State National Championship game. VT will never forget this. It was a heroic drive for them. Miami has a long way to go to get back to prominence. They’ve been starting slow. VT came to play and Miami dodged a bullet. BTW: Miami beat Ohio State. They were robbed.
