Lottery officials urge to check numbers for $1.1m unclaimed Lucky Day ticket – and it was bought as liquor store

LOTTERY officials have urged players to check their numbers for a whopping $1.1 million Lucky Day ticket that has not been claimed yet.

A grand list of prizes over $100,000 that remain unclaimed has also been revealed - but players will need to act quickly.

All the prizes need to be claimed within a year of ticket purchase.

But one lucky person in the state has managed to scoop a whopping $1,100,000 in Lucky Day Lotto.

The precious ticket was purchased on September 8 from Mikas Liquor store located at 6410 W 63RD ST in Chicago.

Players have been requested to scan their tickets and look for the number combinations to claim the windfall - before it gets too late.

Illinois's Lotto website reads: "Please check your ticket using the Illinois Lottery app ticket scanner or by scanning your ticket in-store to determine if you hold a winning ticket."

Lucky Day Lotto is an Illinois-only jackpot game with two daily games that run seven days a week.

Players stand a chance to win a jackpot amount worth $1.1 million by purchasing a ticket for just $1, according to the official rules.

The drawings are conducted daily at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m. CT - and the results can be found on the Illinois Lottery website

It comes as one lucky lottery winner scooped a $ 4 million jackpot by playing a scratch-off game.

Before claiming their prize, the lucky player made a choice that cut down their lottery winnings by nearly 25%.

Earlier this month, the Connecticut Lottery revealed that one lucky winner had managed to do the unthinkable.

The winner, who wishes to stay anonymous, won a $4 million jackpot prize after spending $50 on a Fortune scratch-off ticket.

They became the first person in Connecticut history to win the scratch-off game's top prize.

The winning ticket was sold at Lara Market on Kennedy Road in Windsor, a small town in Hartford County, Connecticut.

Meanwhile, one lucky Miami, Florida resident won $100,880 after playing a Fantasy 5 ticket in September, while another player hit $32,125 playing the same game.
