Welcome back to another week of Keep Your Clips Up. From perfectly executed double corks to entertaining mountain tours, we’ve got a varied selection of content this time around.
Some are longer-form videos, others—like one of the wackiest tricks we’ve seen in the pipe in a while—are done in five seconds flat. This means there’s something for everyone. Looking to sit down for a few minutes and soak in skiing goodness? We’ve got it. Want a clip quick to get you amped for your next lap through the park? You’re covered, too. Let’s get into it.
LINE Goes Powder Hunting
If you weren’t already convinced, take this video from LINE as a sign—you should probably book a hut trip with your friends next winter. Featuring Ana Eyssimont, Jonnie Merril, Garrett Capel, and Ben Richards, Fully Cooked serves up some piping hot (or ice cold?) pre-season stoke. It’s only a matter of time, folks.
The Smoothest 12 You'll See All Week
For Alex Hall, simply landing a double cork 1260 isn’t enough. Instead, he’s gotta make it look like he’s not even trying. Whenever a clip like this appears, I’m reminded how technical—and beautiful—high-level park skiing has become.
Let Hank Be Your Guide
I had the pleasure of chatting with Hank Stowers a few months ago. From that conversation, it was clear that they are stoked, creative, and intent on skiing on their own terms. Stowers brings that energy to their resort tour-slash-breakdown of Mt. Hood Meadows, a somewhat hidden Oregon gem in the Portland area that embodies PNW skiing. Meadows’ rolling terrain and sneaky pillow zones accentuate Stowers’ style, making this video a fun—and informative—ride-along.
SLVSH Is Back, Baby
The SLVSH drought is over. It’s been a good five months since we last got a game, but freeskiing’s best head-to-tournament is back with an entertaining match-up between Ryan Stevenson and Liam Baxter at Woodward Copper. The best part? SLVSH seemed to hint that more of these one-off games are in the pipeline. Stay tuned.
The Stunt Ditch Beckons
I’m fully convinced that pipe skiers are a different breed. I’ll never understand what compels someone to huck themselves out of an enormous frozen ditch. That said, it’s good a select few of us have the nerve to get in the pipe because, without them, we couldn’t get mind-boggling clips like this from Aaron Durlester.
