As expected, iconic Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban returned to Tuscaloosa with " College GameDay " as his former team prepares for a massive showdown against SEC rival and the No. 2 ranked Georgia Bulldogs .

Nick Saban had a legendary career at Alabama, building a program from the ground up that was vastly different when he first took over. During his time in Tuscaloosa, he compiled an impressive record of 274-67 overall, including 183-25 at home.

When this week’s rendition of "GameDay" began, Saban received a heartfelt reaction from the Alabama faithful gathered behind the crew. He took a moment to turn around and connect with the Tuscaloosa crowd, who cheered for several seconds, creating a moment that quickly went viral on social media.

The post quickly caught volume and went viral surpassing well over 67,000 views and 2,000 likes in less then an hour of being posted on social media.

Saban won eight SEC titles and six national championships at Alabama. Beyond his on-field success, he made a profound impact on the lives of his players, often emphasizing that this is the most important aspect of coaching.
