Paul Finebaum Names College Football Team That’s 'The Baddest Kid on the Block'

The Big Ten has the most national championships in college football, with 31, followed by the SEC with 27. The Pac-12 has 15, the ACC has eight and the Big 12 has five.

The Michigan Wolverines (10) and Ohio State Buckeyes (8) have won most of the Big Ten's national titles. In the SEC, the Alabama Crimson Tide has the most national titles with 13. However, the Georgia Bulldogs recently won consecutive national titles in 2021 and 2022.

On "SEC Nation," Paul Finebaum talked about what he was looking forward to from Saturday's top-four matchup between Alabama and Georgia. Although Alabama has more history regarding national titles than Georgia, Finebaum still believed the Bulldogs were "the baddest kids on the block."

"First of all, I wanna see what Kalen DeBoer does on the biggest stage at Alabama," Finebaum said. "We've seen him in the national championship game. He fell that short. This is different. This is up against the baddest kid on the block, which used to be Alabama. Now it's supposedly Georgia."

Alabama and Georgia have both had Heisman winners in the past, too. Georgia's lone Heisman winners were former running backs Herschel Walker in 1982 and Frank Sinkwich in 1942.

The Crimson Tide had Bryce Young (2021), DeVonta Smith (2020), Derrick Henry (2015) and Mark Ingram II (2009) as their Heisman winners.

The Week 5 matchup is the first time Alabama and Georgia have played in the regular season since 2020. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN+.
