Mike, the problem with open elections is the Repubs. have the overwhelming majority in South Dakota and will always have the top 2 candidates be Repub. until something drastically changes for the Democratic Party. I don't believe that any Dem. would truly be willing to vote for a Repub. if that is the only party choice. Additionally, party philosophy goes out the window, & SoDak would be stuck with only one philosophy (currently the tRUMP Authoritarian), this gives the Dems no chance to demonstrate their party's philosophically beneficial tenants, many of which are citizen centric & not big business and personal political aspirations, like the current Repub. tenants focus on. Lastly, the majority of Party dollars are from donors, not taxpayers...you need to stop using faux facts and fear mongering that our tax money is being used improperly...especially when Noemskull is blowing our tax money for all her personal use, personal aspirations, and prostitution herself for tRUMP!
