The Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs are among the top teams in the SEC. Alabama has 13 national titles in program history, and Georgia has three, with two coming in 2021 and 2022.

The two powerhouses have often met in the College Football Playoff and SEC Championship. Most recently, Alabama and Georgia played for the SEC title last season. Both programs' stakes were very high, with a playoff spot on the line.

Alabama won the SEC Championship 27-24 and knocked Georgia out of the playoff. The Crimson Tide claimed the fourth and final playoff spot that season. Now Georgia fans have a chance to get revenge for last season.

On "SEC Nation," Tim Tebow discussed the regular season meeting in Week 5. While some focused on the playoff ramifications of the game, Tebow believed the matchup was more about the SEC Championship than anything else.

"Let's be honest, this is more about the SEC Championship than the College Football Playoff," Tebow said. "Because I think both of these teams are gonna be in the playoff. They're competing right now to see who gets in the SEC Championship. That's why this matters so much."

The SEC is loaded heading into Week 5. Alabama, Georgia, the Tennessee Volunteers, the Ole Miss Rebels, the Missouri Tigers and the Texas Longhorns are undefeated.

Alabama and Georgia play in the regular season on Saturday for the first time since 2020. The SEC giants kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN+.
