Death toll in Lebanon rising steadily, says Health Ministry

The number of victims of Israeli attacks in Lebanon continues to rise, according to authorities.

In the period between September 16 and 27 alone, 1,030 people were killed in Israeli attacks in Lebanon, the Ministry of Health announced. Among them were 87 children and 56 women. Around 6,300 people were also injured during this period.

The number of fatalities from the massive attack on a Beirut suburb on Friday rose to 11, according to the ministry's information.

It reported that 108 other people were injured.

Hezbollah had previously confirmed that its secretary general Hassan Nasrallah was also killed.

According to the ministry, a total of 1,640 people have been killed since fighting broke out between Hezbollah and the Israeli military on October 8 last year, including 104 children and 194 women. A total of 8,408 people were injured.

The authorities assume that the numbers will continue to rise as people are still buried beneath the rubble. Many are still missing.

At the same time, the Israeli military is continuing its attacks on Lebanon.
