Eagles Eyeing Hunter Renfrow as Obvious Roster Addition

The Philadelphia Eagles need some reinforcements in the team. Since their most prominent receivers are out, the idea would be to somehow add more depth to this team so that at least they stay in a competitive situation. The Eagles currently stand at 2-1 and are struggling with multiple injuries, notably the loss of two main receiver players, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Many see an opportunity to sign an abandoned former Pro Bowler from the Las Vegas Raiders in the person of Hunter Renfrow.

Injury Pains Catching Up with Performance

Hunter Renfrow could be just what the Eagles need for now. Coming off two unpleasant seasons, he’s still available to make a difference. In 2021, it was a Pro Bowler going above 1,000 receiving yards. Renfrow’s slot receiver skills can give him what he possibly needs for proper support for his quarterback, Jalen Hurts, and all other receivers.

A Veteran Presence

There’s also a veteran presence in bringing in someone such as Renfrow. He would bring much-needed experience to a young receiving corps, and his ability to read defenses and make quick decisions would serve the Eagles very well. He can help this offense hang in there when key guys are out, so logical choice they are.

The plus side to signing Renfrow, though, is he’s probably not going to be very expensive. The Eagles are in a good position to roll the dice on him at this point. He should be at his nadir since those recent struggles began; such a team dealing with injuries could use such a low-cost, high-reward addition as Renfrow.

The Eagles fan is so positive over the prospect of signing Renfrow. Many feel that his signing is what will turn the season around. Since many current injuries suggest that the team needs a reliable option to be plugged into the game, the fans are eager to learn how he can influence the team’s offense and keep the Eagles competitive in the division.

For those games ahead, the Eagles have to put into the hat everything it takes to fill the holes that some of their main players left behind. One man who might make a great difference in the receiving unit is Hunter Renfrow. With Hunter Renfrow signed, the Eagles are in a tough spot, hoping that with this signing, they might have the opportunity to make the right strategic moves. They have to win the next few weeks, at least, for them to keep their playoff hopes together.
