College GameDay Crew Predicts Winner of Georgia-Alabama

The Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs have been connected in college football for quite some time. The SEC powerhouses have competed for the SEC Championship numerous times and played each other in the College Football Playoff in 2021.

Both programs have multiple national championships and Heisman winners. Alabama has 13, while Georgia has three. The Bulldogs recently won consecutive national titles in 2021 and 2022.

Georgia's most recent Heisman winner was Herschel Walker in 1982. Alabama's Heisman winners are Bryce Young (2021), DeVonta Smith (2020), Derrick Henry (2015), and Mark Ingram II (2009).

The celebrity guest picker on set in Tuscaloosa was none other than Miss Terry for Week 5. She joined Nick Saban on the desk at "College GameDay" to make picks for the top games of the Week 5 slate.

Here's how the picks played out:

Desmond Howard: Alabama

"I had some concern for Alabama's offensive line when they went up against USF," Howard said. "They made some changes in the second half and took over that game. They just dominated Wisconsin. I love what I'm seeing in the trenches from Alabama. Roll Tide."

Nick Saban: Alabama

"Roll Tide!" Saban said.

Miss Terry: Alabama
"Roll Tide!" Miss Terry said. "If I could add to that, I talked to one of the mothers of one of our players, and she said her son said, 'We are confident, and we are ready.' Alabama."

Pat McAfee: Alabama

"Last year, I just said, give me the state that has been phenomenal for college football for so long," McAfee said. "Give me the school that has the Bear, the goat, and now DeBoer. From the strip to the quad to the Saban Household last night, that is absolutely beautiful. There is only one that's running through my soul, and that's Roll Tide Roll!"

Alabama leads the all-time series against Georgia 43-26-4. The Crimson Tide broke the hearts of Georgia fans after beating the Bulldogs in the SEC Championship last season, and Georgia missed the playoff as a result.

This season's meeting is the first time they have played in the regular season since 2020. Alabama and Georgia kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN+.
