The Buffalo Bills have been without multiple All-Pros on their defense for the better part of the first three games of the season.

One of those injuries could be healing faster than originally expected.

All-Pro cornerback Taron Johnson - considered the best slot cornerback in the NFL today - has been out of the last few games due to a forearm injury suffered in the team's first quarter of the opening game against Arizona.

After missing both Miami and Jacksonville wins, the Bills see the light at the end of the tunnel for Johnson's return.

“I caught up with Bills NCB Taron Johnson today. He said he broke his forearm in Week 1, though it wasn’t a clean break — more of a crack,” Joe Buscaglia shared on September 25. “Typically a 4-to-6 week return timeline for players. He hopes to be back for the Week 5 Texans game but isn’t sure at this point.”

It certainly remains up in the air whether or not the Bills will have their top cornerback in a week, but it should feel good for them to have him potentially looking back to return.

Whether it is next week against Houston, or a clash against the New York Jets the following week, the Bills know they could get a key piece to their defensive puzzle back on the field soon.
