The Illinois Fighting Illini, BYU Cougars and Michigan Wolverines pulled off upsets during Week 4. The Texas A&M Aggies and Missouri Tigers narrowly escaped their games without being upset.

On Saturday, the ESPN "College GameDay" crew made their fair share of upset picks for the Week 5 slate. One of the games that Pat McAfee had his sights on was the Big 12 matchup between the Colorado Buffaloes and UCF Knights.

ESPN BET favors UCF by 13.5 points and the Knights came into the matchup at 3-0. After losing to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Colorado recovered and won consecutive games against Colorado State and the Baylor Bears. Both teams were 1-0 in conference play.

McAfee picked the Buffaloes to win and keep things rolling in the Big 12. He believed Deion Sanders and Colorado could block out the noise in Orlando.

Week 5 is the first time that UCF and Colorado have played each other in college football.

The Knights and Buffaloes have head coaches who are well-known to college football fans. Former Auburn Tigers head coach Gus Malzahn leads UCF. He previously led Auburn to a national championship win in 2010 with Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton under center.

Malzahn joined UCF as head coach in 2021. He won nine games in 2021 and 2022 but finished 6-7 last season. It was the Knights' first season as members of the Big 12, which they joined with the Cincinnati Bearcats, Houston Cougars and BYU in 2023.

Colorado, of course, has Sanders at the helm. Sanders is searching for Colorado's first winning season since 2020, which was also the last time the Buffaloes played in a bowl game.

The first meeting between Colorado and UCF is significant for both sides. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET on Fox.
