Delaware State Police identify victim of fatal crash near Dover

The victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash in Dover has been identified by Delaware State Police.

Twenty-eight-year-old Cassidy Ramsey of Dover was killed after being ejected from her compact crossover SUV around midnight on Friday.

She was driving a Mazda CX5 when it failed to turn on a curve. The vehicle struck a mailbox and then a utility pole before overturning and striking a tree and an unoccupied car, according to state police.

The crash happened on the 3900 block of Hazlettville Road approaching Artis Drive.

The Delaware State Police Troop 3 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this crash.
