$20,000 Lottery Ticket Winner Sold in Toledo

TOLEDO, OH - According to a press release issued by the Ohio Lottery on Thursday, September 26, 2024, Thomas Kaminski of Toledo is celebrating a big win after scoring $20,000 on the Ohio Lottery’s Triple Red 777 scratch-off game.

According to the press release, Kaminski purchased the lucky ticket at Stop & Go #6, located at 1505 Eleanor Ave in Toledo.

Remarkably, he had been playing the same game at the same location a week earlier without any success. Persistence paid off, though, when he finally struck it big.

“When I found out I won, I almost panicked,” Kaminski shared. “I got my brother to walk outside of the bar with me and basically lost my crap seeing I won $20,000.”

After federal and state tax withholdings, Kaminski will take home approximately $14,400. Triple Red 777 is a $10 scratch-off game with a top prize of $500,000. As of September 26, three top prizes remain, along with other great winnings, according to the press release.

The Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $32 billion to education since 1974.
