Significant coaching changes happened in college football this offseason. Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban retired after the 2023 Rose Bowl. Kalen DeBoer then left as head coach of the Washington Huskies to fill the opening in Tuscaloosa.

There have been many coaching changes for the Nebraska Cornhuskers recently. Scott Frost was the head coach in Lincoln from 2018-22 before being fired. Mickey Joseph was the interim head coach for the remainder of the 2022 season.

Now, Matt Rhule leads the program. However, fans felt something similar with Rhule as they did with Frost. In Week 5, Nebraska went into halftime tied at zero with the Purdue Boilermakers.

Frost was known for losing close games at Nebraska. He posted a 16-31 record with the Cornhuskers.

In 2021, Nebraska lost nine straight close games. Of Frost's 31 losses at Nebraska, 22 were in one-score games.

One Nebraska fan called for Frost to come back and coach special teams. They wanted to fire current special teams coordinator Ed Foley.

"Fire Ed Foley," they said. "Bring back Scott Frost to coach special teams."

Others had seen something like what they saw on the field in Week 5 before. Another Cornhuskers fan said Nebraska looked like a "Scott Frost" team.

"This is a Scott Frost team so far today," they said .

Some speculated about what Scott Frost was doing with GIFs. Another fan joked that Frost laughed at Nebraska's struggles in Week 5.

"Scott Frost watching Nebraska like..." they said.

One fan even joked that Frost had replaced Rhule on the sidelines. He could not tell the two apart on the sidelines.

"Didn't know the Huskers had Scott Frost coaching again." the fan joked.

Fans speculated about Frost in more ways than just one. Another fan wondered if Frost had begun drinking due to outcomes similar to Week 5.

"Is this why Scott Frost started drinking?" they joked.

An Iowa fan chimed in on Nebraska's suffering. They claimed that Rhule was simply Scott Frost 2.0.

"Rhule is Scott Frost 2.0," they said.

Others claimed that they felt like they had gone back in time. A Nebraska fan joked that it was 2019 again, and their time machine was a success with how the Cornhuskers looked.

"It's 2019," they said . "Scott Frost is the head coach, and special teams suck. MY TIME MACHINE WORKS!!!"

The inability to finish drives looked familiar to fans. Another Iowa fan asked if Frost was watching the Nebraska game in person, implying that he would have loved seeing the drives stall out.

"Is Scott Frost in attendance?" they asked .

Athlon Sports is trash. If it were hard copy, it wouldn't be worth fish wrap. It is just Bison crap steaming on the intern. No fan of Nebraska, this fraudulent fake sports blog simply takes cheap shots whenever and whereever it can hoping to lure readers.
