Sacramento, CA – Governor Gavin Newsom signed a series of bills today aimed at making California more accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities. The legislation strengthens the state’s support for the 400,000 Californians with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as Down syndrome and autism, and enhances transparency in the services provided to them.

“When we say ‘California for ALL,’ we mean everyone,” said Governor Newsom. “These actions protect vulnerable students, improve supports, and open new opportunities for the disabled community.”

The bills include increased transparency for regional service centers, new safety protections for students, and expanded career pathways for students with disabilities. The legislation builds on six years of progress under Newsom’s administration, with nearly $2 billion invested to improve services and outcomes for people with disabilities.

This is great! How about you give the DSP's a rate increase so that we can continue to care for the wonderful people that have these disabilities.
