Dolphins Announce Week 4 Starting QB Amid Tua Tagovailoa Injury

The Miami Dolphins have been hit hard by injuries early on in the 2024 campaign, with none being more consequential than star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's latest concussion.

Tagovailoa suffered a concussion late in the Dolphins Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills, and he was promptly placed on injured reserve, ensuring he'd miss at least four games before potentially returning.

In Week 3, the Dolphins turned the ball over to Skylar Thompson, but he picked up a rib injury that threw his Week 4 status in doubt. Sure enough, Miami will be turning to their third different quarterback in just four weeks, as Tyler Huntley will be getting the start against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4.

After Tagovailoa's injury, the Dolphins signed the former Pro Bowler in Huntley off of the Baltimore Ravens practice squad as a layer of insurance at the quarterback spot.

With Thompson's injury, and the team not trusting Tim Boyle enough to give him the start, Huntley will find his way under center on Monday night when the Dolphins take the field.

It's certainly not an ideal situation for Miami, but given how awful Tennessee has looked this season, they will be favored to win no matter who is playing quarterback for them.
