DOVER, NH – The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce has officially opened registration for the 16th annual Apple Harvest Day 5K, a beloved event that will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 8:30 a.m.. Runners will start and finish on St. Thomas Street, in front of the Dover District Courthouse. The event is underwritten by Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

This USATF-certified course winds through historic downtown Dover, making it suitable for both experienced runners and beginners, as well as families. The registration fee is $30 for adults aged 21 and over and $20 for runners under 21. Registration can be completed online at dovernh.org/AHD5k, with online sign-ups closing on October 1. After this date, registration will increase to $35 for adults and $25 for those under 21, with in-person registration available until October 4 at the Chamber or at the start line on race day. Cash prizes will be awarded to top finishers.

Runners and spectators will be treated to complimentary coffee, courtesy of New Hampshire Coffee Roasters. After the race, participants aged 21 and over will receive two complimentary pours of North Country Hard Cider, while non-alcoholic apple cider will be available for minors. Non-runners can also purchase cider tokens for $5 each.

The 5K is part of the 40th Annual Apple Harvest Day Festival, which begins at 9 a.m. and will feature 300 vendors, two entertainment stages, children's amusements, and two food courts.
