WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Dozens of people from other states came together on Saturday to support a cause for youth.

Life Leadership and Starfish, based in North Carolina, cleaned and cleared Interfaith Park in Warren.

It’s Grover Diggs’ and the Trumbull County Youth Organization’s dream to revitalize the park he grew up with.

The project started about two years ago.

The courts and park will be completely redone with some new additions. When completed, the TCYO would like to have two football fields, basketball courts, a baseball field, a tennis court, a splash pad and new playground equipment.

The land needs serious work before it’s ready for the renovations and plenty of hands showed up to help.

“It’s awesome. You hear about projects like this but you would never think you’d be God blessed to have people come and do this for your organization. Starfish is a company located in North Carolina,” Diggs said.

One of the bigger steps was setting up a fence and gate to the park, preserving the land to be ready for the new fields.
