Kirby Ice House , one of Houston’s most iconic backyard bars, is bringing its signature experience to the Greater Heights neighborhood with a sprawling new location at 1421 North Loop West .

“We are very blessed and very fortunate in Houston,” said Michael Johnson , Kirby Ice House’s recently appointed Chief Operating Officer. “Kirby Ice House Heights will be the perfect spot for social gatherings with friends and colleagues, watching sports, spending time with your pup or simply unwinding.”

The Heights location will span 3.5 acres and cover 24,000 square feet, offering an expansive indoor and outdoor space perfect for social gatherings, outdoor games, and enjoying drinks. The team emphasizes that while the new location brings record-breaking features, the essence of Kirby Ice House remains unchanged, providing “an approachable experience in an elevated way.”

This record-breaking feature will be its 146-foot-long bar, setting a new record for longest bar in Texas, surpassing the previous record held by the Kirby Ice House The Woodlands. The team didn’t set out to top itself, Johnson mentioned, but it was all due to the available space and design.

Kirby Ice House isn’t stopping at Houston. The brand is actively exploring expansion into other Texas markets, including Dallas and San Antonio. With a commitment to maintaining their stellar reputation and delivering exceptional experiences, Kirby Ice House continues to grow, leaving an indelible mark on the Texas social scene.

Scheduled to open in fall 2025, this new outpost will be Kirby Ice House’s fourth location and promises to continue its tradition of blending a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere with upscale offerings.
