Arizona State University student Mara Daffron was randomly stabbed by a classmate who saw her as an ‘easy target.’ The 19-year-old was attacked by fellow student Kaci Sloan as she entered the classroom. Sloan leapt from her seat and stabbed Daffron twice before another student was able to fight her off. Daffron was rushed to the hospital where she underwent surgery for injuries to her tricep and spleen. Sloan has been hit with several charges including attempted murder in the first degree.
