Meet Dotty, a charming 6-year-old Beagle looking for her forever home. This adorable pup, weighing approximately 26 lbs, has captured the hearts of her foster family and is now ready to bring joy and love to her permanent home. Sandy Paws Rescue Inc., a dedicated foster-based rescue in Massachusetts, recently introduced Dotty and had some insight from her foster family about her personality.

Dotty's foster family explains that she is a delightful companion with two distinct speeds: playful and snuggly. She's an affectionate dog who thrives on human interaction and loves to be close to her family. Dotty is great with other dogs and cats, making her an ideal addition to multi-pet households.

One of Dotty's most endearing qualities is her gentle nature with children. Her foster family reports that she patiently allows their 18-month-old to crawl all over her, cuddle, and kiss her, demonstrating her sweet and tolerant disposition.

Dotty is potty trained and communicates her needs clearly by running to the door when she needs to go out. She's made significant progress with crate training, although she may require a heavy-duty kennel to prevent chewing if left for extended periods.

While Dotty is still improving her leash skills, she's shown no signs of guarding behavior. She does, however, experience some separation anxiety and prefers to stay close to her human companions. During thunderstorms, Dotty seeks comfort and needs extra snuggles to feel secure.
