I had several of these cars. Had a 1986, a 1987 a 1990, and a 1996. The 1990 was my favorite. Car was a blast to drive and unlike the base cavalier the Z24 was actually a great car and extremely reliable. Too bad this car isn’t the 5speed manual, would be much more sought after. These cars are collectible, but I don’t know if it’s appreciated to the asking price. Chevrolet ruined the Z24 in 1996 when they went to the quad4 engine over the V6. I had one, wasn’t even comparable to the 2.8 or 3.1 powered cars.
