A lot of people could use some help after Hurricane Helene left a path of destruction. GoFundMe is helping facilitate that.

A hub was launched online dedicated to verified fundraisers for Helene's victims. Here are some of them from Georgia:

    • A 16-year-old from Atlanta is looking to get his roof fixed after two trees fell through.
    • A family of four from Augusta needs help covering expenses after their home was destroyed.
    • Another family from Savannah is trying to fund a second reconstruction of their home.
    • A single mom with three kids from Rome can't move back into their home until she finds the funds to repair her roof.

GoFundMe even has its own campaign which has raised more than $170,000 as of Friday evening.

"Your donation will ensure this fund can support as many people as possible as soon as a disaster strikes," the campaign's description said. "We send critical cash grants directly to people who need help within 24 hours following a hurricane."
