Ex-Colorado Five-Star Cormani McClain In Attendance At Unlikely College Football Game

Cornerback Cormani McClain started his college career with coach Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes in 2023.

After playing in nine games for Colorado during its 4-8 season, where he recorded nine tackles and two passes defended, the former five-star prospect ( 247Sports ) from Lakeland, Florida, made the decision to enter the transfer portal.

Following this choice, McClain left the Buffaloes with a bit of drama after making a comment that seemed to be directed at Sanders.

"I feel like I just don't want to play for clicks," McClain said a few days after entering the transfer portal. "I actually want to be involved with a great leading program that's going to develop players."

The cornerback found himself back in his home state after committing to the Florida Gators over the offseason.

However, with Colorado visiting the UCF Knights in Orlando, Florida, McClain decided to make the two-hour trip south to attend his former team's game. The Buffaloes, who went into the game as 12.5-point underdogs, made easy work of UCF with a 48-21 win.

The sophomore posted a picture of his former team at FBC Mortgage Stadium onto his Instagram story.

Under Coach Prime, McClain received the benching treatment due to his poor practice habits, which may have been a reason he left. Just one month after joining Florida, rumors spread that McClain had already been kicked off the roster. But Gators coach Billy Napier shot that down immediately. Still, he has yet to play a game this season.

McClain was a pampered player in high school. Once he got to college he realized he wasn’t the only good player on the team. All the special attention was no longer on him so he acted out.

Immaturity has been the failure of many. Regardless of talent, putting things in perspective, listening to others, and reading, without these critical things, he will always be taking pictures in stands. And saying he was a 5 🌟. This is life youngman it will leave you wondering what happened.
