    Body found in Five Mile Pond in Springfield

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield Police are investigating on Saturday evening after a body was found in Five Mile Pond.

    Springfield City Library hosts author fair and book sale

    According to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, officers were called to the pond at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday for a report of a body in the water. An adult man was recovered by the Springfield Fire Department.

    This is being considered an unattended death, and the Springfield Police Department’s Detective Bureau is investigating.
